jooplist Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 16, 2026

Last revised: September 14, 2026

jooplist provides Chinese, Hong Kong, and U.S. stock market information, news summaries, blog commentary, and watchlist features through the jooplist website (jooplist.com) and its native app. We process information only to the extent necessary to provide and protect these services.

1. Scope and Information We Do Not Collect

jooplist does not offer sign-up or login and does not directly collect account-based information such as your name, email address, phone number, postal address, or payment details through the website or app.

2. Information We Process

The items below are separated by feature so you can see what is stored on our servers and what remains in your browser.

  • Browser notifications (web push): when you subscribe, web_push_subscriptions stores the push endpoint, subscription data required by the push service, browser User-Agent, creation and update times, last sent time, and failure count.
  • Native app notifications: app_push_tokens stores the push token and provider, platform, locale, selected markets, device name, creation and update times, last sent time, and failure count.
  • Watchlist, recently viewed tickers, and language setting: these are stored only in your browser localStorage and are not sent to our server for account syncing.
  • Unsupported ticker requests: unsupported_ticker_requests stores the requested ticker, normalized ticker and market, request reason and count, whether it is a known ticker, first and last request times, request path, User-Agent, and a one-way hash of the IP address. We use this record to aggregate demand when deciding which tickers to add.
  • Server access logs: our infrastructure may process request information needed for security monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response.

3. Purpose of Use

  • Providing website and app features and operating a stable service
  • Sending browser or app notifications you have allowed
  • Providing market summaries, ticker information, and editorial content
  • Aggregating demand for unsupported tickers to expand coverage
  • Diagnosing errors, maintaining security, and responding to service incidents

4. Analytics, Cookies, and Google Tag Manager

The website loads Google Tag Manager. Depending on the tags configured and your browser settings, cookies, pages visited, and device or browser information may be sent to Google for traffic measurement and service analysis.

You can limit this processing by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser. You can also review and install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on from Google.

5. Sharing and Service Providers

jooplist does not sell your personal information. Infrastructure, analytics, and browser or app notification providers may process limited information when needed to host the service, measure use, maintain security, or deliver notifications.

6. Retention Period

Browser subscriptions and app push tokens are kept while needed to provide notifications and may be removed when you unsubscribe, request deletion, or the delivery provider reports that the token is no longer valid.

  • For unsupported ticker requests, the User-Agent and IP hash are deleted 90 days after the last request.
  • The remaining unsupported ticker request record is deleted 12 months after the last request.
  • Browser localStorage remains until you delete the site data in your browser. App-local data remains until you clear it or delete the app.

7. Your Choices

  • You can revoke notification permission at any time in your browser or device settings.
  • For the website, delete cookies and site data (including localStorage) from your browser settings. For the native app, delete the app to remove its local data.
  • You can request deletion of server-stored notification information using the contact below.

8. Children's Privacy

jooplist provides stock and financial market information and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

9. Security

jooplist applies reasonable technical and administrative safeguards to protect processed information. Network communications use encrypted transmission.

10. Changes and Revision History

This Privacy Policy may be revised due to service changes or changes in laws or policies. If there are significant changes, we will give notice through this page.
